VIRGINITY IN EVERY SIDE

Maybe it is a little taboo to talk about virginity, but this is an interesting topic to be talked. Virginity is something important for woman who not married yet. Different person will give different opinion and definition about virginity. Several say they have to keep their virginity until they are married, but not less people say if you are still virgin you don’t associate. On this essay I would like to try explaining about how important the virginity, why we should keep it until we are married, how to keep it, the fact in some country about virginity, and a little about their reason still keep virginity or not.

Virginity means situation about person who has never engaged in sexual intercourse. Especially in this case unmarried female who keep the personal purity, honor, and work. It is the concept of the traditional involved sexual abstinence before marriage, and in this case the woman will do sexual acts only with marriage partner. The word virgin comes from old French ‘virgine’ from the root form of Latin Virgo. Virgin is also called with maiden. Actually virgin is not always talking about man who never doing sex.

Virginity for several people is something important thing to be kept. The reason they still keep it is for traditional value that their country have. Like in Indonesia, because of this is the country who the majority is Muslim, if someone doing something that make her lose her virginity, the people around her can judge her with bad stereotype. The most extreme is in Arabic, if someone doing sex before married they will get punishment follow the Islamic rules. Adulterers are thrown by a little rock until they die. This punishment is called by rajam. One of city in Indonesia that follows these rules is in Aceh. 

My friend ever asks to me why we should keep virginity for our husband. Simplicity I answer ‘in order your husband proud to have you. Beside it include to religion norm. It is really important when we want to married. Imagine that the woman who will married but she is not virgin, she doesn’t ask it to her husband. You know what as long as her life she will be in vain with her husband. Another of that she will feel guilty in her life because she never keeps her virginity until she married.
